About Andhra Loyola

 

Andhra Loyola College (ALC) is managed and administered by the members of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). The College was founded in December 1953 at the request of the Catholic Bishops of Andhra Pradesh and opened in July 1954. It was affiliated to Andhra University till December 1976 and to Acharya Nagarjuna University thereafter. It was granted the autonomous status in July 1988 in recognition of its excellent contribution to the cause of education. The college owes a great debt of gratitude to its many friends, benefactors, well wishers and staff who have spared no pains to further its cause.
 

Andhra Loyola College (ALC) is:

granted with the status of autonomy (only for degree courses) from July 1988.

Re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC),
Bangalore, with ‘A’ Grade with 3.65 (CGPA) out of 4.00 in September 2008

awarded with a “College with Potential for Excellence” status by UGC in 2004

occupies a renowned status in the field of higher education with 53 years of long
