Greetings from the Department of Commerce at Andhra Loyola College (Autonomous), Vijayawada.
It is my privilege to introduce the Department of Commerce. Established in 1954, the Department started with 5 faculty members and has since grown significantly. Today, we proudly have three distinguished professors, three reputable assistant professors, and a vibrant community of B. Com. students.
With a mission to enhance skills for employability, entrepreneurship, personal growth, academic enrichment, and holistic formation for sustainable development, the Department is celebrating its 70th year of dedicated service to academia and industry.
Over the years, the Department has continually updated its curriculum and improved its infrastructure to provide students with a high-quality education that prepares them to excel academically and make meaningful contributions to society. Through a range of quality initiatives, innovative academic practices, and extracurricular opportunities, the Department strives to offer state-of-the-art Commerce Education that meets global standards.
One of the Departments greatest sources of pride is its alumni, who have achieved success in various fields such as academics, bureaucracy, industry, sports, and media around the world. Many of our students are placed in corporate and reputable organizations, securing attractive salary packages.
In conclusion, the Departments vision is to empower students with a business outlook and instill in them a sense of social responsibility through the value-based education offered at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in our academic programs.
