Its my pleasure to welcome you to the Statistics Department at Andhra Loyola College. As the Head of this department, I am honoured to have the opportunity to share with you our vision, mission, and the journey that lies ahead.

Statistics, often referred to as the science of learning from data, is not just a subject but a fundamental tool that shapes decision-making across various fields – from business and economics to social sciences and beyond. Here in our department, we embrace the power of statistics to unlock insights, solve problems and drive positive change in the neighbourhood community around us.

A dedicated team of faculty members who are not only experts in their respective fields but are also passionate about nurturing the next generation of statisticians. They bring with them a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship.

Our undergraduate programs are designed to provide students with a solid foundation in statistical theory, methods, and applications, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in todays data-driven world. Through a combination of rigorous coursework and opportunities for experiential learning, we strive to prepare our students for successful careers or further studies in statistics and related fields.

But our Statistics Department is not just about academics.
