Andhra Loyola College Welcomes New Correspondent
Vijayawada, July 7, 2025:
Andhra Loyola College (ALC) warmly welcomed Fr. Dr. Rex Angelo as its new Correspondent.
The outgoing Correspondent, Fr. Dr. M. Sagayaraj, has said that, Fr. Rex Angelo is an accomplished academician, holds a D.Litt., and Ph.D., besides two master degrees in English and Business Management. Fr Rex has completed research training at Oxford University. He has held key leadership roles such as Principal of St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, and President of the Xavier Board (North Zone). At ALC, he previously served as Vice-Principal, Controller of Examinations, and Director of several departments, contributing to the college's academic and social growth.
Fr Rex is a recipient of national and international awards, including the Global Education Leadership Award (2021, UK), and an accomplished researcher, authored a number of research articles, and a seasoned speaker at national and international academic forums. He is also known for his social service especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He was welcomed by Rector Fr. Dr. P.R. John , Principal Fr. Dr. S. Melchior , Fr. Dr. M. Sagayaraj, Chairman of ALC Staff association Dr. G. Sahaya Baskaran, staff, and students. The ALC community looks forward to his visionary leadership in furthering Jesuit values of academic excellence and service, they said.
