Objective of IQAC

OBJECTIVE OF IQAC

The aim of the ALC - IQAC is to establish a framework for deliberate, consistent, and proactive measures aimed at enhancing both the academic and administrative efficacy of the institution.

The objectives of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) typically include the following:

Enhancing Academic Quality: IQAC aims to continuously improve the quality of academic programs, teaching, learning, and research activities within the institution.

Ensuring Institutional Effectiveness: IQAC strives to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of institutional operations, including administrative processes, support services, and infrastructure.

Promoting Accountability and Transparency: IQAC works to promote accountability and transparency in all aspects of institutional functioning, including decision-making processes, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.

 

Facilitating Accreditation and Quality Assurance Processes: IQAC supports the institution in preparing for accreditation assessments and complying with quality assurance standards set by external accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies.

Fostering a Culture of Continuous Improvement: IQAC aims to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, self-assessment, innovation, and the adoption of best practices across the institution.

Enhancing Stakeholder Satisfaction: IQAC seeks to enhance stakeholder satisfaction by actively soliciting feedback from students, faculty, staff, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders, and addressing their concerns and suggestions.

Promoting Research and Innovation: IQAC encourages and supports research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty, students, and staff to address societal challenges and contribute to knowledge creation and dissemination.

Ensuring Compliance with Statutory and Regulatory Requirements: IQAC ensures that the institution complies with statutory and regulatory requirements related to higher education, including academic standards, governance, and financial accountability.

Monitoring and Evaluation of Quality Enhancement Initiatives: IQAC monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of quality enhancement initiatives, programs, and policies implemented by the institution, and makes recommendations for improvement as needed.

Documenting and Reporting Quality Assurance Activities: IQAC is responsible for documenting and reporting all quality assurance activities, including self-assessment reports, annual quality assurance reports (AQAR), and other documentation required by accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies.

Promoting Professional Development: IQAC supports the professional development of faculty and staff through training, workshops, seminars, and other capacity-building activities aimed at enhancing teaching, research, leadership, and administrative skills.

Engaging in External Collaboration and Benchmarking: IQAC promotes collaboration and benchmarking with peer institutions, industry partners, and other stakeholders to learn from best practices, share resources, and improve institutional performance.

Overall, the objectives of IQAC in ALC are aligned with the overarching goal of ensuring and enhancing the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of higher education provision while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
