The department of Microbiology at Andhra Loyola College provides quality education and research promotion to the students for better understanding and awareness about the microbial world .The microbiology programme is a multidisciplinary subject. It is the roots of all life sciences, with vast future and good scope in the Environmental, Industrial and Food microbiology. Recent advances in the microbiology is extended up to marine microbiology, molecular docking studies and drug designing .The programme is designed to explore the students in recent trends of microbiology.

The vision of a department offering a Food Technology course typically revolves around preparing students to become experts in the science and technology behind food production, preservation, and safety. "Our department envisions being a global leader in Food Technology education, fostering innovation and excellence in the field. We aim to equip our students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to address the challenges and opportunities in the food industry. The programme is designed to explore the students in recent trends of Food Science and Technology.
